Healing Campfire Mod (1.21.11, 1.20.1) – Heal Players and Passive Mobs

Campfires in vanilla Minecraft look cozy but don't do much beyond cooking food and sending smoke signals. Healing Campfire Mod changes that by turning every campfire into a passive healing station — any player or friendly mob standing within a configurable radius automatically receives the regeneration effect. With over 2.4 million downloads on Modrinth, this lightweight utility by Serilum has become a staple in survival worlds and modpacks like The Vanilla Experience.

Key Features

  • Campfire healing zone — Players and passive mobs within range of a campfire automatically receive the regeneration effect. Modded passive entities are healed too, as long as they aren't classified as monsters.
  • Adjustable radius — The default healing range is 16 blocks, but you can increase or decrease it to fit your base layout or server balance needs.
  • Works with soul campfires — Both normal and soul campfires function as healing stations, so you can use whichever fits your build aesthetically.
  • Fine-tuned configuration — Adjust regeneration level, effect duration, and toggle particle visibility on or off. Useful for servers that want subtle healing without visual clutter.
  • Hostile mob exclusion — Only passive mobs receive healing. Hostile entities within the radius are ignored, so you won't accidentally buff a creeper lurking near your firepit.

  4. Place both .jar files into your .minecraft/mods folder.
  5. Launch Minecraft and place a campfire — you should see the regeneration effect activate nearby.

FAQ

Does Healing Campfire Mod work with soul campfires?

Yes, both normal campfires and soul campfires grant the regeneration effect. You can use either type as a healing station in your base.

Can I change how far the campfire heals?

The healing radius defaults to 16 blocks and can be adjusted in the mod's config file. You can also change the regeneration level, effect duration, and whether particles are visible.

Will this mod heal hostile mobs like zombies or creepers?

No. The mod only heals players and passive mobs. Any entity classified as a monster is excluded from the regeneration effect, including modded hostile mobs.
