Isle of Berk Mod (1.18.2) – Train Your Dragons in Minecraft
Isle of Berk Mod for Minecraft 1.18.2 brings the How to Train Your Dragon universe into your world. This fan-made mod introduces 12 dragon species pulled from the movies, series, games, and shows — each with unique abilities, behaviors, and multiple skin variants. Beyond just adding creatures, the mod features full taming, breeding, flying, and combat systems that give you a deep dragon-riding experience.
Key Features
- 12 Dragon Species — Includes Night Fury, Light Fury, Deadly Nadder, Gronckle, Monstrous Nightmare, Skrill, Triple Stryke, Hideous Zippleback, Terrible Terror, Speed Stinger, Lead Speed Stinger, and Stinger — each with distinct stats and abilities.
- Multiple Skin Variants — Every dragon has multiple variants. Some are rare (Albino Night Fury at 1/1000 chance), and special named variants exist — naming a Night Fury “Toothless” or a Deadly Nadder “Stormfly” unlocks a unique skin.
- Tiered Taming System — Dragons range from Tier 1 (easy, like Terrible Terror) to Tier 5 (untameable). Tier 2 requires passive taming with correct food. Tier 3 requires fighting and weakening first. Tier 4 demands special conditions like status effects or no armor.
- Dragon Riding & Abilities — Right-click with an empty hand to mount, Shift to dismount. Press R for the primary ability and X for the special ability. A saddle is recommended to avoid falling mid-air.
- Breeding System — Breed Night Fury with Light Fury to get a Night Light (11 variants including heterochromia). Eggs must be heated near torches to hatch, and you can right-click eggs to check incubation progress.
- Dragon Management — Right-click with a stick to check taming progress or switch between sit, follow, and wander modes. All dragons are immune to fire and lava, and they heal naturally or by feeding.
- Unique Dragon Behaviors — Terrible Terrors can sit on your shoulder (up to 3 at once) and auto-collect food. Speed Stingers spawn in nest structures, walk on water, and attack livestock. Monstrous Nightmare’s fire ability is disabled by rain.

FAQ
How do I tame a Night Fury?
The Night Fury is a Tier 4 dragon that spawns in mountain and hilly biomes. To tame it, you must remove all your armor, apply the Night Vision effect to yourself, and then feed it fish. Meeting all three conditions is required for taming to progress.
How do I breed dragons to get a Night Light?
You need both a tamed Night Fury and a tamed Light Fury. Breeding them together produces a Night Light, which has 11 possible variants including a heterochromia variant. Note that Night Lights can only be obtained through breeding — they do not spawn naturally.
Can all dragons be tamed and ridden?
No. Most dragons can be tamed and ridden, but there are exceptions. Speed Stingers and Lead Speed Stingers cannot be ridden. The Lead Speed Stinger (Tier 5) cannot be tamed at all — it spawns with groups of Speed Stingers, has a paralyzing sting attack, and drops high EXP when defeated.
